Contest Rules
- Front yard residential landscapes only.
- Entries must demonstrate and will be judged upon:
- Attractive use of water-wise landscaping
- Efficiency of the irrigation system
- Good maintenance practices
- All landscape entries must be located in the existing Western Municipal Water District general district service area. View map
- If you are a Western customer or a customer of one of the following retail agencies, your landscape qualifies. All residential projects must be a customer of a participating water agency:
- Box Springs Mutual Water Company
- City of Norco
- Corona Department of Water & Power
- Eagle Valley Mutual Water Company
- Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District
- Home Gardens County Water District
- Jurupa Community Services District
- Lee Lake Water District
- Rancho California Water District
- Riverside Public Utilities
- Rubidoux Community Services District
- The decisions of the judges are final.
- Entry images will become the property of Western Municipal Water District and may be used for future marketing activities. Winning entries agree that their landscapes may be featured in a “Western Water-wise Landscape Tour” or denoted as such through property signage.
- Overall water efficiency will be evaluated. The competition committee reserves the right to issue no award for any category that receives insufficient entries.
- Water agency employees within Western’s boundaries, their family, or sponsors are not eligible to enter.
Deadline for entries is June 23, 2008.
